In open source databases are taking over, Asay points out that Google, Yahoo, even Oracle all run MySQL. "Don't you think that MySQL is well-positioned to do the same [as Oracle and use the database as the hub for all ERP, CRM, etc.], except with open source applications?"

Podcasts: Although storage software is not typically open source, that may be about to change. At least if projects such as Aperi and startup Zmanda have any say.
