Why good EAs ought to see blurry

The line where the Web ends and the enterprise begins is brackish, at best.

As such, there are two distinct types of enterprise architects today, David Linthicum asserts, "those who embrace the value of the Web and have learned how to leverage it, and those who do not see the value, and have drawn a pretty bold line around the enterprise."

If you're a good enterprise architect, you should see blurry.

That's because resources are not missing presently, but "it's the vision to leverage those resources where they provide the most value for your core business processes," Linthicum explains. "Those who learn how to do this now will be much further down the road than those who don't."
