Offshoring is no silver bullet

In an earlier post about Frederick Brooks' "No Silver Bullet" essay, I mentioned that I was writing a column that referenced that timeless essay on the inherent difficulties of the software development process.

The column is about offshoring as the latest "silver bullet" -- which is to say that wherever software is developed, it's still difficult and nothing is going to change that.

Jon Udell also weighs in on offshoring in his regular InfoWorld column (with extended info in his blog) and another blog entry.
