Putting Open-Source to Work in Mobile Application Development
Fabrizio from Funambol has a piece in this week's Computerworld on open source in mobile application development.
What I've found is that managers and developers wanting to use open-source tools for mobile applications are looking for some basic guidelines to ensure that they're getting the most leverage out of open-source software. Here are some recommendations for determining this for yourself:1. Look for a large, active community surrounding the technology and product.
2. Check for comprehensive, proper documentation.
3. Test for scalability.
