Xanthus Communications? Anyone get these marketing calls?
I am traveling and wondering if anyone else is being tormented by something called Xanthus Financial(?) They call me literally every three hours and I keep calling back to get on Do Not Call (which I am already registered.)
Anyone else ever heard of this? Do I have any recourse against these mother-fletchers? Feel free to email if not comment.

Greetings friend! I run a business called Xanthus Communications, which specializes in public relations, and is no way connected to a company named Xanthus Financial. Xanthus Financial doesn't even have a listing in Hoovers. I would appreciate it if you do not associate me with a telemarketing firm that is obviously operating outside of the guidelines established by the FTC and State Attorney General's offices.
For the sake of clarification, Xanthus Communications represents companies and individuals on a global scale, and provides high quality public relations services. Our practice areas are biotech, beauty/fashion, professional services and creative services. The majority of Xanthus Communications' clients were acquired by word-of-mouth and professional referral. I don't like your header "Xanthus Communications." Please remove it or at the very least don't associate my business with unethical business.
you can always ask to be added to their Do Not Call list. Any call center anymore will be happy to add you, it will mean they can concentrate their efforts on other people that are interested in their product. next time you get a call from anyone you don't want to talk to, simply ask to be added to their DNC and the calls will stop.
Posted by: Joe at January 11, 2007 06:47 PMYes I'm very familiar with these assholes. They wont stop calling me either. They call me every single day trying to get me to consolidate my student loans. Ive asked 5 times to be added to their so called Do Not Call List only to receive more calls then before. I just cussed them out and once again asked to be added to there Do Not Call List. A manager named Jim Buckle came on the line and promised no more calls would come through. The funny thing is that I was ready to do business with them because of really great rebate program they have but the harassing phone calls to complete the application turned me off! I ended up shopping around for the rebate and going with Sally Mae because they offered it. Its called the Upromise Program.
Posted by: Toya at February 15, 2007 10:23 AMI happen to be a manager with Xanthus and would like to let you in on a little FYI. This company is full of great owners and employees making an honest living doing an honest days work. We try the best we can to help students and yes at times we are persistant. That's the nature of the business. We work up against people trying to rip you off, sell you useless vacations etc.. If people would take an honest stand and talk to a rep that would like to help wether your interested or not, then I'm sure they would love to take you off our list. We're not in the business of harrassment and prank calls. It does cost the company money to have a rep on the phone. Common sense would only tell you we're looking for positive business. And as far as our rebate program..Yes it was a good deal that you could have taken advantage of if only given the time to talk to a rep. The so call deal that you got with Sallie Mae, was not a rebate at all. You need to log on to the upromis.com site and read. By the way we also offer that program and have for many years.
Posted by: Manager at October 15, 2007 01:39 PMDear "Manager",
If you are a "so called" (which you spelled wrong, see above quote "so call Sallie Mae") manager of "Xanthius" why didn't you spell it right?
So wait, I should consolidate loans with you? You can't even spell your company's name right, you flaming retard.
Secondly, don't ever try to justify harassing phone calls as nature of the business. Thats how you drive away business. You ALL make your money by harassing people into consolidating, sometimes its bad, sometimes its good. As far as I'm concerned, the more than FOUR letters a week that you harass people with besides the phone calls, is one of the reasons why we have no trees to breathe oxygen from. You clog up the telephone and you clog up the mail.
And you can't spell, and you want people to put their financial credit, and financial trust in YOU?
You must be out of your "so called" mind.
