You Know your SOA Project is Going Well When….

Okay, a few pessimistic posts last week, so here is an optimistic post to balance things out.

You know your SOA project is going well when…

  1. You have a clear understanding of the underlying information models you're dealing with.
  2. You have a clear view of the performance issues surrounding your SOA, and have the proper models created.
  3. You're fully funded.
  4. You can call a C-Level, at any time, for any reason…he or she is a sponsor of the project.
  5. You don't call your project "an experiment."
  6. You're not going back and changing plans during execution.
  7. Nobody is quitting.
  8. Can you say "on budget?"
  9. The vendors are working with you, but not driving the project (no VDA).
  10. You sleep well at night.

Dave,

Lots of wisdom embodied in a short post. I've written about your list over at ZDNet:
