Okay, a few pessimistic posts last week, so here is an optimistic post to balance things out.
You know your SOA project is going well when…
- You have a clear understanding of the underlying information models you're dealing with.
- You have a clear view of the performance issues surrounding your SOA, and have the proper models created.
- You're fully funded.
- You can call a C-Level, at any time, for any reason…he or she is a sponsor of the project.
- You don't call your project "an experiment."
- You're not going back and changing plans during execution.
- Nobody is quitting.
- Can you say "on budget?"
- The vendors are working with you, but not driving the project (no VDA).
- You sleep well at night.
