ContentWatch Delivers More Robust Internet Filtering
ContentWatch, Inc. later this month will roll out an improved version of its Internet protection software that allows users to carry out more dynamic filtering as well as to more accurately analyze Web content with no perceptible amount of latency. The new enhancements to Version 2.0 of ContentProtect's filtering reportedly reduces search requirements from as many as 2,000 scans to as few as one search scan per page, according to company officials.
The company has also enhanced the product's remote management capabilities by allowing managers in smaller companies to set up or change filtering criteria, review a range of different Internet activities, and request e-mail alerts when specific criteria are met.
For instance, company officials said, users from their workplace PC can know if a child is online and then monitor and manage the Web sites being visited as well as view the text of Internet-based chats. Users also have the ability to access and manage multiple PCs that are in a home from a single Web interface.
"We are seeing the growing complexity of unwanted internet content, coupled with the liability and legal issues of businesses and public organizations making it mandatory for parents and businesses to put more effective Internet protection in place," said Jack Sunderlage, President and CEO of ContentWatch. "With this product we think we that can serve smaller organizations and families uniquely," he said.
Version 2.0 is will ship in July. Users can obtain a two-week trial version of ContentProtect 2.0 by going to www.contentwatch.com. The annual license cost for ContentProtect is $29.99 per node.
SMBs can get more detailed information about Version 2.0 at http://www.contentwatch.com/.
