Talking about free antiv s/w, www.avast.com is free and was rated higher than McAfee antiv when it was rated by consumer reports last year. It also has an outlook plug in. You have to register your copy with the company to get it to work, though.
About the background music, I never hear it as I strain to hear your words of wisdom. It does have a techie feel though...don't know what I'd replace it with. A survey might help you out.
