I wish I knew what you said about not taking tech too far. Where I live in rural Tennessee, I can't get affordable broadband, so I don't bother with either audio or video. If somebody emails me a .wmv file, I delete the email. My time is valuable.

More than half of all Americans with internet access still don't have broadband, yet more and more stuff isn't available any other way. It's giving the Web a way urban bias--not good!

Come visit the real world some time. I'll bet there are more acres in the US without affordable broadband access than with. People who can afford satellite tell me uploads aren't much better than dialup, so why waste the money?
