Nobody expects the spontaneous integration

To me the most surprising thing about the LibraryLookup project is that the results are surprising. Why? We should all expect these kinds of spontaneous integrations, and take them for granted. Yet nobody expects the spontaneous integration. If we want to raise the bar, I suggest we start by asking and answering three questions:

  • Why was this unexpected?

  • In what environment would it be taken for granted?

  • How do we create that environment?
