I wonder how this book compares to the Virtual Server book written by Ben Armstrong -- another Microsoft employee. Any idea? Wasn't that a Microsoft Press book as well? Sorry for so many questions.

Clint,

Our Resource Kit book is focused on designing, deploying, and managing Virtual Server 2005 infrastructures. Our book also includes a complete chapter devoted to scripting using the Virtual Server 2005 COM API. In addition, there is an entire part of the book devoted to performing a virtualization project from the envisioning phase to pilot deployment. There are many resources on the companion media that comes with our book, including scripts, videos of some key technologies, and evaluation software of 3rd-party virtualization tools. Ben Armstrong's book was published by WROX and is about 50% focused towards scripting and developing applications using the Virtual Server 2005 COM API.

The table of contents and four sample chapters of our Resource Kit book are available for download at http://vscommunity.com/files/. These should also be posted at Amazon within the next few weeks. If you have any questions or comments, you can also send us questions at vs2005r2rk@hotmail.com

Hope this helps!
